Make large photo small again

I have 25000 pic need to make small soze cuz they are 162gb I need it for google drive anny prigramthey are bmp 1920x1080 i ok with low quality but not very low

Google Drive has a function that converts your pictures to a lower resolution, but with almost no visual changes (unless you zoom in a lot). 

 

If upload speeds are not an issue just concert the photos to "High Quality" on Google. Converted photos don't use your Drive storage.

Have a look at: https://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php

It may take some time to run through that many photos but you can downsize them locally then upload.

Just upload your current photos, but make the option "convert to standard size" then it wont use any google photos storage space.

Also doing the math. You have 25 000 photos which take up 162 GB. that is 162000/25000=6.48Mb per image. You wont be making them not a lot smaller without losing a lot of quality. 6 MB for a picture is already small. 

But if you want to change them to around 2 MB convert them to 2MPIX images, but then you wont be able to zoom into the images.

There are ton of tools to convert larger numbers of pics. Or you can write your own batch script for it.
