I need some recommendations. I am planning on upgrading my brother's aging FX8170 based gaming system (didnt know he even ran that till recently). He is sporting an Nvidia GTX 780. I already have an ASUS GTX 1060 6Gb Strix card for his rig (came out of my personal rig when it managed to find a suitable 1070ti deal at microcenter). He is planning on gaming at 1080p with very high settings. He already is in possession of a couple of Sata 3 SSDs that I am NOT replacing =P . I am in the US, and would like to keep the build (CPU, MoBo, and ram) under 500. He has a decent ATX case with good airflow, a decent PSU, and 2 SSDs.

My thoughts (since I'm forking the money for this endeavor)

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (mainly because I dont plan on OCing his system much, and would like the stock cooler)

RAM: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

Motherboard: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard

The other thoughts that I had, would involve a Ryzen 5 2400G vs an i5 8400 intel build (though I dont want to give team blue my money). What would be the best bang for the money? I do have a microcenter nearby and theyve been amazing to shop at.

This computer will be assembled overseas, and the less that I have to carry (such as a cooler) the better.

AMD Ryzen 3950x under a Noctua D15S, 32 Gb G Skill FlareX 3200 DDR4 running at 3200 CL14, Gigabyte Aorus Pro 570 Wifi, Gigabyte 2070 Super hooked to a Dell U2718Q 4k HDR monitor & an Acer 1440p 144hz IPS panel of some kind, an Inland 1 TB M.2 PCIE 4 main drive, a Samsung NVME M.2 250Gb, WD Blue 500Gb  and 1 TB SSDs, Corsair RMX750, Rainbows and butterflies...
