m?, also add an SSD if youre doing video editing, or if you want to get 125%+ performance, get a 970....

He already said that he doesnt want used gpus(they are for sure used for mining, also no warranty). I agree on the ssd though.

Hi LTT,

I want to build a mid budget pc. My main target is to do 3d rendering, video editing.I have tagged the softwares which I need to work with. I have made a rough build. But I don't know is that right or wrong.

My build is:

  1. Processor: Ryzen 5 1600
  2. MotherBoard: AsRock AB350 Pro4
  3. RAM: Patriot DDR4 8GB 2400 MHZ
  4. PSU: Thermaltek 550w
  5. HDD:Toshiba 1TB 7200 RPM

Please suggest me a Graphics card under 180 dollar.

Do I need to change any component?

Please reply.

Hmmm, you might wanna get faster ram, as well as that PSU name, its too vague, so we cant really tell if its good. Also an SSD will greatly help. As for a GPU, youre going to need to go used, such as a 970 or 780ti.

There's a big difference between misreading and being a fanboy. Maybe stop assuming and trying to start things.

Either way that cards performance is no where near something like a used 970.

Not all people want to buy a used gpu. Anyways you are missing out on a A lot of performance if you buy a 970. If you wanted to buy used a 380 or 390 or a 290 would be much better options than a 970. Better performance and cheaper.

can you suggest a build of 550 dollar ryzen build for a beginner 3d graphics designer? Please?

Your current build is pretty ok.

R5 1600 and a rx560, 8gb of ram, a 1 tb hdd, but i would get a corsair 550m psu.(gray label)

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DF48KB good luck paying less than $700 with an r5 1600 and a graphics card in your system at today's prices. Add a hdd if you need more storage, but at least a 120gb ssd is recommended.

EDIT: Everyone is this thread has just argued about what gpu is best, when op just needs a gpu as a video output, but not to do the majority of the work. Yes a 970 is better than a 460/560 4gb, but it is also more expensive and hard to find cheap, reliable used, when op doesn't want a used gpu.  Yes a 290x/390 is better than that, but it's even more expensive.

🙂

Did you just compare 6% gain to 125% gain

I mean at the point they might as well go with a 550, if they have the budget for it they might as well get something a bit more new
