I am planning to upgrade my 2x4gb (8gb) hyperx fury ram to 16gb.

Should I just buy 2 more sticks of 4gb making it 4x4gb (16gb)

or

Should I sell off my 2x4gb and buy a 2x8gb (16gb) kit.

note

I would probably not need the ability to expand to 32gb but you never know.

PC SPECS (just the small info)

GTX 950  (soon to get a 1060)

Personal Suggestion would be to upgrade to the 2x8GB sticks as in the long run you may end up getting a Mobo that could only have 2 channels and not 4. And I would be basing this of the fact your running a 6th Gen i5 so in the long run I would recommend 2x8GB. just something I would do.

Secondly I dunno about selling on the 2x4gb sticks as they could come in handy if you ever need to troubleshoot. being able to have components that you know work can help. :)

Some people prefer a challenge, I just band my head against a wall until my method works...

I would just buy 2 more 4gb, almost noone needs 32gb of ram anyways (take this from someone with 32gb of ddr3 ram) Plus ram prices are so bad right now that you'll pay way more for the 8gb chips now than you would in the future in the unlikely case that you really needed to upgrade..
