Im looking to upgrade my currents system. 

CPU: I5-4690K

Ram: 8gb corsair vengence pro

MOBO:  msi z97-gaming 5

Gpu: evga gtx 970

Im looking to upgrade my current system.  I have a budget of $1000 AUD

 

I do a lot of heavy gaming and some 3D rendering and video production.

You've got two options...

 

1) Find a used i7 4790K on Ebay and add another 8GB of RAM.

or

2) Build on a totally new platform (new CPU, new motherboard and new RAM)

 

Which one do you have in mind?
