So my hard drive was working today and my dog heard something knocked over some things happen to bump the tower along with a few other things and the tower itself has no physical damages to it however my hard drive no longer is detected it actually makes that Nick Nick Nick sound.

Another thing to note is that my hard drive is connected to a power supply with a connector that is spliced in. I did try resplicing but despite minor improvements it still makes the nick nick nick sound I'm just curious if that is related to a power supply problem or hard drive problem.

Just to clarify I'm not asking whether my hard drive has a problem but if the power supply is causing it or the hard drive itself is.

Thank you everyone who is trying to help me in this difficult time of two terabytes of lost data

If the HDD is making a "nick nick nick" sound that MAY indicate an issue with the needle used to read the HDD. If the drive is not being detected that could be a software issue, I had this happen to me. Have you tried a different SATA port? Also when you say that " hard drive no longer is detected " do you mean detected in Windows or detected in BIOS?

The hdd is my main and only HDD in the case. So when I start it up I see a blackscreen as normal and no sound, than I press f1 to boot and slowly makes the sound and says it's not detected and sometimes instead of that it actually shows a big thing of text on the screen. Also I did try a different sata port.

An update no matter what HDD I plug in I get this on my screen as for the sound on my HDD it has changed. I remember hearing this sound before and I am going to see what it was.
