Hey guys helping a friend build his new computer, he is going to be spending 20k ish NOK or 2.5usd. He will be streaming, gaming, rendering, and recording. He was looking at maybe 1900X Threadripper or 8700k but we need help picking the rest of the parts. https://www.komplett.no/ thats the website that has to be used (just use google translate :)) Also he is fine getting a prebuilt if it means saving money or whatever

20k is quite a huge budget. This is an 8700K/1080 Ti system. Feel free to change the SSD to an NVMe drive, add an NVMe drive, get a higher end 1080 Ti, get an AiO for the CPU, choose a different case, or a different PSU.

The 1900X performs same as Ryzen, it just has more features on the platform. Mainly lots of PCIe lanes. Imo, it would make more sense to get a Ryzen 1700 build and to overclock that. So this is the direct Ryzen alternative.

The Threadripper alternative (if you want the motherboard features) would be the 1900X with an X399 motherboard, and possibly 4x4GB RAM and a Noctua TR4 cooler.

:)
