Graphic card not functioning properly?

Hi ! I am new here at the forums and having some issues with my brand new computer.

I am currently playing PUGB, and experiencing "lagspikes" in game, but also when alt+tabbing. When I alt+tab the sound might lag, as well as the mouse will stutter over the screen. Usually the game runs "somewhat smooth", also Discord, but when alt tabbing it gets fucked up.

 

Also when I start games like League of Legends, and the game starts the sound might disappear.

 

I am using a program named CAM to find out how it functions, and the program tells me that I am using 100% LOAD when the game is "launched" (in the game menu), but I also use the same in game. When not playing it is 0% to 2%.

 

I am using 2 screens on the graphic card, where one is the one I play at, and the other is used for Discord, the program named CAM, and maybe Google Chrome.

 

Is the problem that the 1060 isnt good enough? Is my 1060 not working? 

 

Specs:

1060 6GB
i7-8700K

16gb ram (3000mhz)

M.2 SSD from Samsung Evo series.

I am also wondering one other thing:
The screen I dont use for anything but "desktop" tasks. Is it possible to connect that to the motherboard instead? Will that make the GPU perform better?

Idk, not a lot of detail. Game doesn’t run well all the time. 

Connecting the monitor to the MoBo could help but I doubt it. 

 

Would need to monitor all the hardware to try and narrow something down.

How would I start monitoring anything tho? For me it seems like their is a graphical issue since it's on 100% load in games

It’s supposed to be at 100%, that means the card is doing its job. Vram at max isn’t good though, that can cause lag. 

 

you have a second monitor right?

so watch cpu/ram and disk usage that the game is on. Same with temps. Any thing and everything that could help.

I will do that. I Asked a friend that has a 1080 and his was not on 100% load. 

 

Also do you know about any other software that can help?

 

What I have noticed that temperatur is about 60 to 70 at the gpu. About 40 to 50 on the cpu. 

 

The fps in player unknown is sometimes stable at 60 but sometimes at 30. 

 

The program named Samsung magic is telling me that the M.2 disk is functioning as it should.

Nvidia experience has given me the newest updates. The bios is not up to date, but that is not a issue(?). The xmp profile activated.

 

That is the info I have at hand right now.

Well load depends on the game and its use. A 1080 will be at 100% in pubg. 

You don't need software to see usage of the system. That's what task manager does for you.

System needs to be put on high power or performance mode if not already.

Id update the bios if it fixes things you care about which would be in the patch notes.
