CPU & RAM

I got 2 q. here.

Q1 - Is there any differences between Laptop RAM and Desktop PC?

Q2 - What would happen if i add 2 ramsticks. 1 w/ 2600MHZ and other one with just 1600MHZ?

Q1= Notebooks and other mobile devices usually use LPDDR (low power) memory, and in notebooks it's mostly in form of SODIMM's. They're structured differently, therefore they don't fit in standard PC motherboards

Q2= If you mish-mash different RAM's you'd lose benefits of faster one as it'll be downclocked to the speeds of the slowest one in the bunch.

Q2 - Adding some input. The speed might not be the only difference, and if that's the case, you can run into some compatability issues.

I don't know how clued up you are, and nobody has said the obvious but... you do realise they are completely different physically right?

A lot of laptops do use low voltage and this is shown by an L symbol at the end of the label. Like DDR3L and DDR4L.

Try to keep the same speeds for speed reasons.

Probably gaming or helping technophobes with tech...
