Lines in my laptop's display, need help

Dear LTT gurus,

I own a HP laptop, suddenly within two weeks, straight lines started to show up on screen, don't know why, what might be causing that issue, is that a display problem? Sometimes it appears on different part of the screen itself, can it be fixed? If yes means, how much it might cost to India (any rough guess would be good), is it serious?, Should I need to look into it asap or it wouldn't cause any massive issue?, Lemme know if anyone had similar kinda issue and what did you do to fix it. Ty in advance.

Thanks and regards,

Yash

Can it be fixed if I take my laptop to HP service center?

You may need to change the whole display panel.

The price depends on the model of the panel but it should be less than 10k INR

If you have the warranty then it'll help.

More than likely the cable for it has become loose and is causing the problem. They can detach partially causing this. or it could be a break in the cable at the fold point. I would do the 10 dollar cable first to make sure before looking for a new panel.
