Stored Location Data in Android?

This morning I got an excessive speeding ticket in Richmond for doing 92 in a 50. Given that the difference between excessive speeding and normal speeding works out to over a thousand dollars (And an impoundment, but can't solve that), needless to say, I'm disputing it. I drive a manual, and I know the acoustics of the engine point to it being below 90, however that's not going to hold up in civic court. So what I'm wondering is if there's some stored location data on Android I can pull to prove what my speed was in the area I got the ticket in?

google only stores location data without speed and data timing is usually off for me, you can check your location history here

That is why before riding you turn on the gps route tracker. Android doesnt store the speed itself, especially if your gps is off.

Damn, appreciate the reply, but it's blank for me (Which is weird, because my data stays on anywhere except my apartment, where I switch to wifi).

if you disable your location,google play services still scans wifi networks and matches them to locations. (just enable location services)

I'll do that now, but unfortunately I think I'm going to be screwed for arguing the ticket...

they will reduce the fine amount if you just show up

hire a traffic lawyer

and get the fuzz to prove it

get the calibration certificate

get the training the fuzz got to operate that device

Will do all that, appreciate the advice.

 

If it were just a speeding ticket, I'd have happily accepted my fine and paid it. But the rules for excessive speeding are outrageously punitive.

Still blows my mind that in a first world country, we allow the police to seize your vehicle without any trial or anything.
