I want to build a PC, and for My Build I'm wondering if everything is compatible, and what I could do to make it cheaper without losing much to any performance (minus changing the case - That needs to stay) or what could I do to make it slightly better without making it too much more expensive

To end confusion, I'm going to be doing a lot of Editing, with a large side of Gaming

Keep an eye out for cheaper RAM, although G Skill stuff is great. I'm not sure if that motherboard is a good choice really...  Windows 8 is the same price generally but performs better so I'd grab that. Also, you should really try and find space for an SSD - makes a huge difference.

Current rig: i5 4670K | GTX 670 | Asus Z87I-Pro | Silverstone Strider Plus 600W | Custom mITX case | Seagate Barracuda 3TB | Samsung 840 120GB | G430 | CM Storm Quickfire Pro - MX Red | LG 21.5"

Thank you for the great tips, but i'd rather have a hybrid drive that can run near as well as a SSD  while having large amounts of space

Also what MoBo would you recommend. I'd rather not spend more then $75 on a MoBo

Do you really need a CPU for a gaming system?

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

I wouldn't suggest getting a worse graphics card, if he is gaming. Not worth it for an ssd imo.

MSI R9 290 Gaming | MSI Z77 MPower Big Bang | XFX Pro 750W Black Edition | i7-3770k @ 4.5GHz | Corsair H100i | GSkill Ripjaw 2x8Gb | NZXT Phantom 410 Gunmetal | OCZ 128 Gb Vertex 4 | Samsung 250Gb 840 EVO | 1&2 Tb Seagate Barracuda | Logitech G510 | Logitech G700 | Logitech G35 | 3 x LG E2442V

The graphics card he chose is out of stock anyway.

If they are out of stock i would recommend waiting or find a sale on a 7970/7950 (can get good clearance sales) or 770 :)

You'd have to spend more for a 770. A 760 + ssd is much better.

7950/7970's are unlikely to come back in stock and are more likely to be discontinued.

I wouldn't use a power supply that small amd components are generally more power hungry.

PC Specs: CPU: Intel i7 4770K / CPU COOLER: Corsair H100i / Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120Gig and Seagate Barracuda 1Tb / Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming-7 / GPU: EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX / Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II 850watt / Case: Corsair 750D 680 Coaster

you could get a better m/board (990FX) and a FX6300 would save a little more to.

for sure the m/board needs to be better if you want performance. your putting a good CPU and graphics into the build but onto a budget m/board, no brainer, go for a good 990FX board.

got to love Asus components

Actually, that psu is plenty. Systems use less power than you would think.

A 970 mobo + 8320 is better imo.
