Ryzen System freezing with Storahci and disk errors

Will01

I had a problem where my pc was freezing for like 30 seconds and i got the error in event viewer saying storahci and also disk, i managed to fix it by turning on sata hotswapping in the bios. My friend is also now having the same issue with a ryzen system but changing sata hot swapping for him did not fix it. any ideas?

This could potentially be a bad drive try contacting the manufacturer.

its not, im pretty sure of this! me and my friend are having the same problem. when i had the problem, i even bought a brand new drive and the problem still occured. I think its something to do with either Zen architecture or the A320 chipset?

Is your BIOS updated to the latest version?

Also, make sure your chipset drivers are up to date I like to use this software for all of my drivers: https://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php

Yeah, i updated my bios when i had the problem and used that exact driver booster and it did not fix it. I fixed it by turning on sata hotswapping so this is some sort of issue that is past the normal troubleshooting. But i have no idea what the source problem is
