General motherboard help

i was given a van load of pc's and other hardware, in amongst it i found a 4770k and a titan x (burred treasure). i want to upgrade the motherboard for the 4770k and i also want to pair it with an m.2 sata ssd. is there any lga1150 motherboards with M.2 compatibility or will i need to buy an expansion card and what motherboards would you recommend

Yeah. They exist. But from what I know, it was kind of a premium feature at the time. Best place to go is e-bay and see if you can get a used one with it. Obviously be careful, but if you see one you like, you can search it and read old reviews of the selected motherboard model.
