Hey everyone, I've started putting together this build and was hoping i could get some advise.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/s4BscY

I have about $1500 cdn to spend give or take.

It will be used for business, lots of file management, documents, excel, marketing design, some Photoshop.

it needs to be fast and stable with lots of storage.

Thanks in advance!

The Radeon iGPU might be able to accelerate some stuff in photoshop over the intel solution

Otherwise get an M.2, and an ITX PC?

Motherboard may need a BIOS update

I dunno if it's like a I NEED to spend $1500 thing, but if it is just throw in  a bigger SSD and a nice GPU.

Otherwise, just go with @Streetguru's build.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Oh and buy a good 4K IPS display to go with it

Just make sure that AM4 ITX board has display port out

Assuming you have peripherals:  https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/XgnscY

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor  ($238.95 @ shopRBC)
Motherboard: Asus - PRIME B350M-A Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($107.75 @ Vuugo)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory  ($219.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 250GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive  ($148.99 @ PC-Canada)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($71.00 @ Mike's Computer Shop)
Video Card: AMD - Radeon Pro WX 4100 4GB Video Card  ($314.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Case: Cooler Master - Silencio 352 MicroATX Mini Tower Case  ($62.00 @ Vuugo)
Power Supply: EVGA - B3 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($79.99 @ Amazon Canada)
Optical Drive: LG - WH14NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer  ($63.75 @ Vuugo)
Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit  ($159.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Total: $1467.40

This is really close to $1500 Canadian, but it's probably the most power for that money. If you need peripherals, I'd scale some of it back, like non-M.2 boot storage, 8GB ram instead of 16GB, and maybe like a Quadro P200 or a WX 2100. But this build is pretty close to what I run in our Police Department, except I'm using Intel 8700Ks and and the WX 5100 (that's going to add another $300 or so).
