Hello people,

I have a friend that's quite deep in the apple ecosystem, and his macbook broke a few weeks back.

He surprised me when he asked me to come up with some propositions on a windows laptop for his price range.

Here are what he wants to do with it :

- work a full day without to much worries for the battery

- 13 inches

- desing is not a problem (he says every laptop just looks like a rectangle anyway)

- Not too bulky

- light gaming on the side (I mean, he comes from a old macbook)

I don't really know a good value besides the dell xps 13, and he goes back to apple, I will take it as a defeat, so I come here for help.

This will be okay for games like csgo and minecraft. It has a large battery and is relatively light. It has a good screen. And mainly, it isn't a mac ;)

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

OP mean light gaming, if he/she need a 1060 GPU then he will be choosing a gaming orientated laptop where only a few of them have decent battery life and good enough portability (Gigabyte Aero 15 for instance)
