Help with connection bridges

So i need to get my pc to have internet i have a laptop thats connecting to my phone through pda.net wirelessly and a Ethernet cable that goes from my laptop to my pc idk how to get it to work laptop windows 10pro pc windows 8.1 thanks

Well I followed those instructions exactly and it worked perfectly for me. What part is not working for you?

i plugged in the ethernet cable and i dont think it came up on the network connection screens i only have two pdanet broadband connection it has a wire icon and Wifi Direct Bg Z981 pdanet i selected both and mad a bridge but not internet on my pc im also not sure if that is the right cable connection

no new connections pop up when i blug in the cable and none go away when i take it out just the broadband and the wifi ones i there

Sounds like the phone isnt assigning an ip address to the desktop. I don’t know much about android, is there a way to share your connection that isn’t through Wi-Fi-direct?

all i have is a laptop a phone a cable and a pc i want to play rainbow sis siege on and i got to get ethernet on that to play my game and for some reason pdanet doesnt tether so it has to go through wifi idk what els to do unless you got some other way

i got my old ethernet router gonna try and use that as a wifi stick lmao cross my fingers

If the router dont have the option. See if it can be flashed with DDWRT, because DDWRT does have the option. Its called wireless bridging. Ive done with before, but not to a hotspot.
