Before I continue, no I don't want an hd capture card. I have no need for that. I need to record 1 hr long of composite 480p video. Since I can't stand the software they include with it, I decicded to use xslit (I know not the best). so my old c2d laptop manages to do 480p with on the fly de interlacing, but my only problem now is the audio from the dazzle cuts out randomly.

This is not a c2d being maxed out as it also does this on my 3770k. Should I just record with audacity and direct audio feed from the sound board?

Dazzle capture cards always gave me audio problems so I think that's where your problem lies. Would be better to use something else to record the sound instead of Dazzle.

Ok no prob I can get a quarter inch to 3.5mm into the laptop from the soundboard. Also did you find any settings that worked the best for you?

Truthfully I found nothing, threw the card into my closet, and bought something else that worked better :D
