Internet problems

Hello, 

I'm having some weird issues with my internet connection. When I#m testing my speed I get the normal 100mb/s down. But I can't watch any youtube video or twitch stream without lag. Even google struggles at times. How can that be?

If you have low end hardware, your CPU/GPU might be struggling with video encoding.

Don't think that's the problem. I'm running a 7700k@5 and 1070 in this machine.

No, just running chrome. I'll download another one and check if that works.

Browser hijacked by a miner? What's your CPU usage?

Cpu usage hovers around 25%. 

Using Microsoft edge doesn't work as well.

If that green icon in the bottom right iz Razer Game Booster, my bet would be you have a process in the background throttling you.

It's just Razer Synapse for the keyboard.

Try disabling hardware acceleration. 

Check background tasks in task manager for any weird network usage.

Make sure video playback is using HTML instead of Flash. 

Make sure no aplication is downloading anything (Steam etc.)

Close all programs in the background. 

 

 

Kind of weird problem, there's gotta be something trivial.
