I am from the Philippines. This is my very first plan to upgrade my very old PC (Intel Q9650, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 2GB RX460). $500 - $550 is my budget. Mainly used for gaming. (Heroes of Newerth, CS:GO, World of Tanks, Fortnite, PUBG - bought one but can't be played). I have an LG Flatron E2341 (1920 x 1080p) monitor. I am not planning on buying peripherals as my budget is very limited.

Here are the list of my planned build. I will still be using my RX 460 btw and plan to upgrade the CPU. Hopefully the GPU too if prices are not insane anymore.

INTEL BUILD

  • CPU                      Intel Pentium G4560 3.5 ghz 2-core
  • MOTHERBOARD  Asus Prime B250M-A
  • MEMORY              Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4gb 2400 8gb (HX424C15FBK2/8)
  • PSU                      Seasonic M12II-520 EVO 520w 80Plus Bronze Fully Modular
  • STORAGE            Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
  • SSD                      Samsung 850 Evo 250GB
  • CASE                   $40 budget.

AMD BUILD

  • CPU/APU                      AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 4-Core 4-Thread 3.5ghz 4mb 65W
  • MOTHERBOARD  ASRock AB350M Pro4
  • MEMORY             Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4gb 2400 8gb or G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x4gb 3200 8gb CL16
  • PSU                     Seasonic M12II-520 EVO 520w 80Plus Bronze Fully Modular
  • STORAGE           Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

If you can get them, a Ryzen APU and mother board or a GTX1030 or 1050 would be needed to play those games at a minimum.  Intel graphics won't run them at playable frames.

AMD BUILD

  • CPU/APU                      AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 4-Core 4-Thread 3.5ghz 4mb 65W

  • SSD                      Sandisk Ultra II or Kingston UV400 both 120GB
  • CASE                   $40 budget.

this build will be the better bet, you can get a single 8gb stick since you're not running off the iGPU. get the ultra 2, but if the MX3/500, WD/Sandisk 3D are around the same price then get those instead. also, skip the M12s and get a CX450/M instead.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

A single stick costs about $20 more but I think I can squeeze in this Tforce Delta RGB 1x8gb 2666 and the Samsung 850 Evo 250GB and just not buy a new case. I'm kind of sensitive with the PSU because it will be of use when I upgrade to a better GPU and the availability of a decent 450watts here is very rare.

Do not cheap out on ram, these APU's rely heavily on it the faster the better remember there is no dedicated ram on these chips for graphics its all on the system ram

not a requirement to get one stick, if the kit is much cheaper then get that.

Will this suffice Tforce Delta RGB 1x8gb 2666 8gb or should I really go with G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x4gb 3200 8gb CL16? I'll still be adding my old GPU (RX 460 2GB).

All reviews so far show the higher the ram speed the higher the performance so if you can squeeze in the 3200 stick I would do that Ryzen in all platforms to date runs better on higher ram even if you use a discrete GPU I would still go with the 3200 stick
