get into safe mode with networking

make sure you are connected to the internet

( if you use ethernet it will be connected and you can proceed.

if you use wifi, by default your not going to be connected, you need to click the network icon in the bottom right corner and chose your wifi and click connect)

get this tool

http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/tweaking_com_windows_repair_portable,1.html

run the Repair_windows.exe inside of the zip folder you get

Accept the Eula

a few tabs will be at the top, one says Repair - Main click on it

in the menu below the tabs is a button now that says "open repairs", click it

a new menu will open up

by default all repairs are selected

click Start Repairs in the bottom right corner

leave it running, it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 4 hours

once its done it will ask you to reboot

reboot and see if it is all fixed.

Bro thanks for all your support, i freaking appreciate it so much, but I have found it.

I reinstalled windows, and one by one installed my programms and found out that Duet display was causing this.

still thank you bro!!!

So recently my pc has been very slow and my taskbar was not working (windows key, time, notifications, etc) but the apps which were open were functioning in the task bar.

So I tried to search for a solution and tried some of them, but non worked. Then I decided to have a clean install of windows. After the install everything was working but 2 hours later the taskbar was freezing again and not funtioning. And from today when I log in to my pc my screen is first black with only my cursor, after 1 min I see my desktop and everything works fine except for my taskbar.

Do you guys know any solution? Or is it perhaps time to change my hdd for a ssd or my GPU?

press control alt delete

end task on explorer

hit file -> run on the task manger

type in explorer         or     explorer.exe

see if it starts working.

Afterwards I would run SFC /scannow

and then dism if there are no serious issues / un-repairable files

hopefully that will fix the issue without you having to dig to deep

Still not working bro :(

I noticed that when I restart explorer that my screen goes black because of that and after 1 min or so I have my desktop.

if its windows 10

hold the windows key and tap X, hopefully a window will pop up, on there is an option to open command prompt as administrator.

Use that to run SFC /scannow

Other wise you might need to boot into safe mode to do it.

tried a clean boot?

run the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows by WD to check the HDD health.

I can not log in after a clean boot ?, it freezes when in try to enter my password. So freaking crazy. And the WD software turned out clean.

I booted into safe mode and then the taskbar started to work. How can I find the culprit or any other suggestions?
