Internet Wireless Connection

Would internet wifi connection be better in planes than on ground with the same provider?

Wifi itself will not be any better or worse depending on your location relative to the surface of the planet. There might be more chance for interference on the ground from other wifi signals but ignoring that it's not going to perform better just because you're higher in the atmosphere and might have more interference to deal with due to the decreased atmospheric protection you get flying so high.

If you're talking about satellite internet then technically you would have some reduced latency, since you're closer to the satellite when flying at 30,000+ feet but the satellite still has to communicate with something back on the ground so the difference would be minimal.

So you're saying they're both the same?

Your wifi speed only depens on which band you are using (2.4 or 5 GHz), your distance to the access point and how much is blocking the path from the access point to your device.

I think you are talking about celular (2g , 3g or 4g) connections. In those cases things might be a bit different, but like @Lurick said you wont notice much difference. That being said in a plane you are in a big metal container, so if you compare it to being outside standing still you might find some differences.

Please specify better what you are talking about :).
