CCTV Error- KView

I keep receiving this error on my KViewQR app when I try to view my CCTV cameras.  Please could anyone with any knowledge of what is happening please help.

It cannot find the device, to be more specific it cannot find the IP adres or it isnt registered whatever method you used to install it.

To find out which it is click the wrench icon and see if there is mention of an IP adres or a portal adres with a serial number.

 

If its just an IP adres/name try pinging it. If its a portal check if that is up.

When i clicked on the wrench, it said Title, QR ID, Password 

 

I tried to ping the IP but it says 192.168.0.**: Destination host unreachable

but under it says Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4

Then the recorder is offline. Do you have physical access to it? If so: Check if its on, check the network connection.

If its on and you have a monitor connected to it check if it has an IP adres, and if its the same as in your software.

Quote me or anyone replying to you so we see that. Notifications pop up for the thread creator. But not the ones replying to it  

 

OT: Can u get to the recorder? or is it somewhere u cannot reach now?

I just tried to access it using the IP but it now says user/password error or DVR busy.  I know the username and password is correct

I can get to the recorder and it is already connected to a monitor

Maybe a reboot in in order. Prob you'll have to pull the powerplug for that as most of these thing do not have an ON/OFF button.

Thanks for all your help, this worked.  I think i just kept putting it into rest mode or something and not restarting it
