Memory Speed issues?

Yes I know it's ECS but he didn't need anything fancy and we are on a very strict budget. Anyway I ran WEI and it rated the ram at 7.3 which tells me its set to 1066. The board natively supports 1333MHz and the ram is 1333MHz. However in the bios, the ram frequency is as follows:

400MHz

533MHz

667MHz

800MHz

Auto

Now, this IS DDR3 ram clearly as the board doesn't support DDR2 ram and I ordered DDR3 ram as 8GB costed 40 bucks. Any idea on this one? A weird multiplier maybe?

DDR = Double Data Rate. Double the values you see in that list and you'll get the 'effective rate' which is what RAM is sold as.

That then becomes:

800

1066

1333

1600

I thought about that but discounted the theory because 1333MHz is an odd number not even. But 667x2=1334 LMAO, well it's late IG thanks for reminding me of the basics!

That's because it's not 667, but 666.666666 (well, you get the gist). It's just rounded up.
