Hello guys,

Some years ago I bought an R9 380 4GB by MSI, and as you probably can understand, it is no longer capable of supporting my 3 monitors and gaming needs. My birthday is coming up this week, and I thought I should treat myself!

So, I have 4 options on how to go about this:

  • Wait a few weeks or months to see how the market will grow with the upcoming Volta cards
  • Buy a new card with inflated prices from a store
  • Buying a used card from Greece (Where I live)
  • Buying a used card from London (My brother is a uni stud there, and my parents are going for a visit in a some weeks)

You know what the first bullet means, and I really don't think we will be seeing any huge improvements IMHO. You know best though.

2nd bullet, we are talking about INFLATED prices. A GTX1060 6GB from MSI costs 500 euros here.

3rd option, Is one of the most versatile, I have seen many 980Tis for sale at 400-450 euros.

4th option, is the one I believe that is the best, but ultimately could fail. My brother doesn't know shit about PCs, so I could get scammed. But, the prices there are really good from a fast search around. I just found a GTX980Ti ACX2 (06G-P4-4993-KR) GPU for 350 pounds (~400EUR).

I don't know how I should move with this. If I am going for a new one, I will either be going for a 1050ti or a 1060 6GB.

If I am going for used, I don't know how I should go about buying which card. From where, which versions of the cards, etc.

Here I have the specs of my PC:
