Hello everyone,

I am playing Minecraft for many years now and never had lag. I started with Minecraft version 1.8 and now playing on 1.12.2. I never had issues with lag spikes even not on a old laptop. Now i have a brand new gaming pc and i'm getting lag spikes with the smallest things in the game. I know it's now fully java edition and that's were I think the lag comes from. Usually with my pc specs i should play around 60-120 fps average. But i now play average 40 fps and lag spikes to 5 fps every 5 seconds.

I don't know if someone could help me with this problem, but I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

What are your specs, how much memory do you have allocated to Minecraft, and is Java up to date?

Try optifine

Yeah i tried it and it fixed it a little bit. I got average fps of 60fps and lag spikes around every minute. But i'm a man that wants to play with some mods so i need to play with forge 1.12.2. So i can't play with optifine, but thx for your reply.

Optifine work with forge, either get a older version or manually install it

do you experience lag spikes without mods enabled? Also, are you using the JVM arguments that allow for java to use more ram?
