My dad said he wants to try some smart home tech, and he's given me £100 to start off so he can see if it's worth it. What should i get?

A Bluetooth speaker could be a good start if you don't have one already.

It depends on what you want to do.  Do you want to control lights, sound system, or just answer questions?

Tbh 100 Pounds is going to get you the very low end of home automation (If you plan to control more then 1 light/socket/ect)

And will be a bad experience that will prob turn him of the idea completely.

So like already stated in this thread: what do you want to automate/control?
