£500 to spend?

JordanDoyle

Hi there, I have £500 to spend on a graphics card, it will be used for rendering in After Effects CC and gaming in Crysis, Call of Duty, etc in 1080p.

What GFX card would you recommend? I've been looking at the 780Ti and the 7990, both look extremely good.

It will go with this:

The i7 3770 has been clocked to 4.2Ghz

id get the 780ti. nice Cuda accelertion. single card so no compatibility issues of dual GPU's. Shadowplay for recording (if you want to use that) and just a plain beast when it comes to games :P

I would personally go GTX 780 Ti because of the single GPU and CUDA acceleration. Also, the 7990 is a beastly card, but the 780Ti is right there it in terms of performance.

686 MHz? Whaaat?

The RAM is Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) which means the speed you see there is 1/2 the actual speed. It is running at 1372 MHz.

Thanks for mentioning that, just noticed I've underclocked my RAM, I'll have to fix that.
