My audio cuts out randomly??

So pretty much ill be listening to somehting and randomly my audio will just cut out for a second and come back. This has been happening since i got this new Mobo. I upgraded my mobo to "GIGABYTE GA-AB350-Gaming" and a fresh install of Win10, and now every once in a while completely randomly the audio will cut out and then come back in. I've tried reinstalling drivers and that's about all I can find online about this problem. Might be a mobo defect, if it is i'll just live with it. I know it's not my headphones. Any ideas?

make sure the HD audio plug is being used and not the Ac'97. My friend had this same problem and this solved it

yeah i just checked that wasn't the problem

How do you know it is not the headphone plug/jack/cable?

I keep one of these just to be able to test stuff, and to have a 100% sure fire audio solution everywhere I go.
