I have the Sennheiser HD558 and I was wondering if anyone had a good solution for a shorter cord. The one that comes with it feels about 3 miles too long and really I just need it to be long enough to reach from my head to the computer under my desk. I have looked online and the only solution I have found is the take out the locking mechanism in the jack and then get a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter and a generic cord. Is this the best solution or is there something a little more elegant?
