Remember the clam shell iBook?  What kind of laptop keyboard was used on it?  Because it looks like the same type of key switches that were used on laptops through the mid-2000s, before chiclet keyboards dominated laptops.

Basically like theses, they use a scissor mechanism similar to modern chiclet type switches but they have a much larger amount of travel. Levono still has laptops with a similar type of keyboard as the ones used on their old business laptops.

Gotcha. I didn't know that about Lenovo.  Which of their laptops do they use these keyboards on?  I don't think they use them in their Ideapad or Thinkpad laptops.

The new ones are a modern version, more chichlet style in the Thinkpads than the old ones like those in the photo but they did have their 25th anniversary edition which has the old style keys.
