The audio and mic jack's were working perfectly fine, but i launched discord and suddenly i could hear my voice. i uninstalled and installed again so i could reset the driver. but now with that problem out of the way i noticed that the laptop/driver doesn't recognize the Mic jack and automatically starts using the one in the laptop. the thing is that neither the headset (as in Audio and mic) or just the mic jack are able to get the mic part. when i check the jack information all i get is the "ATAPI internal connector" i'm losing my mind here, i don't even know if this is even the right forum to ask for help, i'm just desperate at this point.

Extra detail: the microphone in the laptop ONLY works if i'm using the "microphone" option. neither the "line in" from the Razer surround software, or the stereo mix work.

i would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Couple of things.

  1. If you hear yourself it is often because "Listen to this device" is selected in the Listen tab of the device properties.
  2. Is the mic plugged into the red mic jack?

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.
