Headphone Sound Messed up

Yeah, so I have had this problem for a while. I ripped put my headphone jack so I have to use my microphone port on my headphones. However, I had this issue before this happened. When I plug in my headphones the background sound (like the background music in a video) is louder than the person talking. Also, the sound just seems messed up. Another problem is that the headphones are really silent even on 100 volume. I have tested the headphones, which are brand new, and they work fine on my iPad. I while ago I had a Bluetooth thing attached to the jack so I could use wireless headphones and the sound worked fine. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but the problems started after. I just use the Realtek audio on my PC and I don't have a separate sound card.
