Budget GPU for Video Recoding

Hi All, 

 

I'm new to all of this so please be nice... 

 

For a bit of a laugh and to have a play I got myself a second hand HP DL160 G6 Server for not a lot of money.... 

 

One of the main things that I want to use it for is converting of videos to work on different devices.  

 

Without looking into things properly I got a FirePro V5900 card which turns out has limited support from modern video conversion packages. 

 

I am thinking that an Nvida based card with Cuda support may be a better option. 

 

Any suggestions for a single slot <$100/£100 second hand card that would give me better performance and options that my current V5900?

Most video conversion is handled by CPU alone. You could grab an old 700 series GTX however if you need.

Single slot? Then it's pretty much 1050 and or used 750ti.
