I recently bought a x3440 to upgrade my pc from and i3 550. It works fine with its stock frequency at 2.53Ghz. But i've found out that it can be overclocked as far as 3.8Ghz .So in order to maximize performance i tried Overclocking it via bios and found out that my bios was locked. My machine is a OLD Samsung machine with OEM locked bios.

I've heard about software overclocking. So Can anyone help with get with it. I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Software overlocking normally refers to software written by motherboard manufacturers to make overlocking easier on their boards that already support it...

So this isn't really going to help you much.

This is an article that might help you if you're willing to put in some work, but honestly I have no idea how reliable or correct anything here is: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18125

I don't have a problem...
