Pc Freezes

Hello everyone, I'm trying to help out my cousin with his pc. He says that he turned on his pc the other day and tried to download league of legends but 10 - 20 minutes into the download the pc freezes. I'm doing the best I can to help him but I'm not sure myself on how to fix this issue. Any thoughts and recommendations?

 

Here are his specs:

CPU: AMD Fx-6300

MOB: MSI 970 G43 plus

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Ballistix

PSU: TT 600

Storage: 1TB WD Blue

He hasn't downloaded anything to monitor is yet. I'll tell him to.

He says that when he tries to download anything it freezes. He tried to download gpu drivers and it froze.

if he started it for a few minutes then it'll be okay.

What if he lets this run in CMD for a little while?

ping -t 8.8.8.8

So do command mode and put that in?
