Operating system for an RDP client

I have an older Dell OptiPlex FX160 that for a while was completely dead (seriously, the motherboard threw sparks and flame and stuff) but I hooked it up and it still works. Anyways, I don't know what OS to put on it. It's got a 2GB SATA DOM, 1GB of DDR2 (though I could put 2 in it), and an Atom 300 CPU. I tried Windows XP, but the drivers don't install right. What should I try, keeping in mind that RDP with sound is a must?
