GH5 Question

Hey I was looking from upgrading from my g7 to a gh5. I mainly use the camera for video so the 4k60 would be really nice. I was wondering if it's recommended to get an external recorder or it's fine with sd cards. I'm trying to record at the highest settings on the gh5 w/ 4k. If I should get an external recorder, what should I get and how do they work (never used one).

by using a recorder you can get another files, bigger files, I don't have worked directly with that camera myself but I have worked with lots of its footage, in the other hand I have played myself with the g7 a few times and although I haven't worked with it's footage, I have seen it at 100% and technical quality apart maybe the difference is not what you'll think, it's better but in lots of situations you wont be able to tell the difference

now with high speed Sandisk/Samsung/Sony cards, you'll have not problem and you'll be able of get quite fine footage, when they use recorders here they use one called "Ninja Infierno" or something like that, that should be good as I see it always, I mean ALWAYS, and they seem to take the abuse pretty ok too

I think the biggest difference will be in the facilities of the gh5 more than anything else... but maybe someone more prepared can tell you another thing

now I remember I did a work with a g7, they recorded mostly with GH4 and some scenes were recorded with the g7 another day, it's not exactly the same, but almost the same
