So the best software I've found so far seem to be lightshot. But I saw someone in a YT vid use a screenshot program that did what lightshot does. Which is you press printscreen and you can take a screenshot by stretching out a box to where ever you wanted. But then this guy was able to do that but then keep the screenshot on screen. With out having to go back to the pictures folder where lightshot put the screenshot you just saved.

So then I need to find that software which does what lightshot does. But you are able to save the screenshot but then you have to dismiss it yourself. Which means its still on screen for you to look at and then save away for later.

You expect me to reply then you'd best QUOTE me so I can........thanks

Feature in W7 also maybe W10, I forget what its called.

Ya I know its a thing Win has normally but its shit. So i like to use 3rd partys. And also the win one doesn't do what I need it to do. You know the part where it stays on screen. So that I can use it for something and then save it away.

I use Irfanview

Ok but does it. Know what download Lightshot yourself. Set it up and see what I'm describing. Then we can go off to the part about the image staying on screen. Its hard to explain it so you will just have to try it. Then just delete after

ShareX can do this to an extent.

Can select the crop size, then you can set thumbnail settings within the program. Can make them as big/small as you'd like and I do believe you can set the time they remain active.

In theory you could do like 85% of full size thumbnail with a 3minute delay before disappearing. Then if you need it gone sooner, hit the X

Edit: Thumbnail is standard to popup in the bottom right corner of the user's screen.
