Alienware Graphics Amplifier vs. NVIDIA Drivers

Hey guys,

 

So I own an Alienware 13 R2 (bad choice ik). I didn't have much money at hand recently so I just bought a graphics amplifier with a GTX 1060 3gb. The problem I'm facing is that my drivers keep going back to 382.05 from 392.65 whenever I connect/disconnect the amplifier. Not a problem I faced ever before. Solutions anyone?
