I am trapped in Safe Mode!! I wanted to run a utility to uninstall my video card drivers and it needs to run in safe mode. I tried to get into safe mode with Shift-Restart and it didn't work right. So I used the msconfig command to select safe mode in the boot options. But it boots to a black screen. So, now I can't get into the boot options to uncheck safe mode. I've tried everything I can think of but it just boots to a black screen. I can get into the bios and boot menu, but so far I can't find anything in there to help me. I really hope someone has a solution for this.

I didn't mention that I tried to get it to boot to a command prompt. My understanding is you get there by repeatedly pressing ESC while booting. I tried that but still just get a black screen.

This says use windows recovery disc i guess a usb will work too; and hold Shift+f10 to get into the command prompt

https://www.top-password.com/blog/how-to-start-windows-in-safe-mode/    this one says hold f8 during the boot process to bring up the boot options (safemode with command prompt)
