Hi, Need a PC for college. Going to be using lots of photoshop, illustrator and solidworks . My friend is selling me 2 gtx 780's for nothing. Not really up to date on the best bang for buck cpu's out currently. I have been told the Ryzen 1600 is great however I was struggling to find a micro ATX motherboard for it. Was looking for some help if possible.

Thanks for reading

Cant find a micro atx for a ryzen 1600 supporting sli

Unfortunately, it's not really a thing right now since high end mATX boards don't exist on Ryzen. That may change with B450 and X470, however that won't come until April. If you're dead set on using the 780s, you should consider switching to the i5 8400 or 8600K or consider going with an ATX X370 board.

I have 2 of the Nvidia 780 GTX's and love them still.  They will work fine, I use photoshop on them, Star Trek, Eve, WoW, and many other programs.  For the Price grab them.  My suggestion is this.  Put down what you need to run and why.  Photoshop for ???, Illustrator, and Solid works.  What else,  I see so far i7 is the way to go.  Don't skimp here on the CPU or you will be pulling out the hair.

Memory...Suggestion...8gig minimum.  16 good, 32 best.  Budget item here. For the Ryzen...ASrock makes a mother boards to handle this request.  I have seen several on Newegg.com.

Ah, my bad. Forgot about you wanting SLI. No chance of a larger mobo for your build?

Looks like you will have to do that if you want two 780's in your rig anyway.

You can do it but was looking for a good budget cpu and motherboard that I could use. Ryzen 1600 doesn't have a micro atx motherboard not that I know of

I'd nab a second hand 6800k/5820k for $200 or even a 6850k/5930k (40 pcie lanes)  for 250-300 (all muchacho better than a 1600) and one of the matx, sli ready motherboards that are available.

Brand new, 200 bucks.  Second hand, 150 or less.
