I found something interesting recently. I've been playing the evil within series and noticed that when i play the first game at 4k ultra, the GPU works harder than it does when i play the second game at the same settings and resolution. I have a few older games from the core 2 duo days that run easily at 4k maximum too and they still use more of the GPU's power than some newer stuff i have. I can't find info anywhere and wanted to post here to see if anyone else knows why it does that.

Newer games are just better optimized probably, and they are made to run at 4K most of the time when older games aren’t

Probably. It's another one of those things that i discover and there's no answer. Some titles that run at 60+ fps require more power than the crysis games (which i tested too). And we should all know how crysis can punish PC's.
