Hi,

I was looking around for a business laptop for around 700-800€. A dedicated graphics card is a must have, due to 3D-CAD programs, and a powerfull CPU would be appreciated too.

Then I found the Lenovo ThinkPad E480 for 800€ a Rx 550 (2GB), I5-8250U and a 256GB m.2 PCIe SSD, but just 14": https://www3.lenovo.com/at/de/laptops/thinkpad/edge-series/ThinkPad-E480/p/22TP2TEE480?menu-id=ThinkPad_E480

What is your opinion on this deal? Are there any comparable notebooks to this one you could recommend?

Many thanks in advance!

Wow, I didn't even notice that the new E series has started selling now. Yes it's a decent laptop but IMO, the E series Thinkpad is still a consumer laptop. I'll suggest a decent Ultrabook. Also, RX GPU doesn't fit well in laptops (high power consumption and more heat production, less efficient if compared to Nvidia Pascal).

Desktop specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 5600 Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB Gigabyte B550M DS3H mATX

Asrock Challenger Pro OC Radeon RX 6700 XT Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8Gx2) 3600MHz CL18 Kingston NV2 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Montech Century 850W Gold Tecware Nexus Air (Black) ATX Mid Tower

Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16ACH6

Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 8+128

Ok, but the ultrabooks I could find, that have comparable performance (GTX 1050) all cost 200€ more. Or did I overlook some great deals?
