Hi, so upon start up I’m usually prompted with my user bubble, account name, and password box right below it.

However, recently I haven’t been able to login to my computer with out waiting an unusual amount of time before the password prompt actually shows up. No matter how many times I restart, or shut down my laptop, I have to wait it out. When I finally gained access to my laptop I disabled the start up login. When I restarted my laptop the problem still persisted. I had to wait out the same amount of time.. I just no longer had to login anymore.

incredible.

I’ve looked all around the web, and decided that this forum would probably be the best place to find my answer if there even is one. Because I really dont think my laptop suddenly needs 5 minutes to boot up.

I have an HP Envy Laptop from 2014, not relevant to my problem more than likely but I thought I’d add that in there anyways.

Thanks for the reply, I kinda had a feeling it was due to an update. Unfortunate though, I doubt Microsoft would help me out here. I’ll just wait it out then, and hopefully they’ll come out with a patch by the time my computer actually lets me log in lmao
