"Sweet spot" for computer builds

Wondering what you guys think what a normal 'gaming' computer build costs.

I'd guess £850 or so.

My life so far has gaming on a budget and for the majority of it considered 30fps medium settings very playable. For me, it'd be about 500 - 600 USD

Inside some old case I found lying around.
