I heard many rumors that the APUS come out in february and we already have the details of those ApUS but when will the details drop of the Ryzen 2 since its coming around april/may?

Ryzen + is coming in april or around then, it's a small revision that's likely to give us 4.5ghz Ryzen chips

Ryzen 2, is a totally different thing, and is a major revision coming at the end of the year maybe.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Isn't that Zen 2? But that is planned on 2019

Threadripper 2 is coming 2H looks like, so they get the first round of Ryzen 2 maybe? This stuff is way too confusing.

I feel like there's some confusion going on with the naming scheme and I'm certainly slightly confused myself.

I read on a Youtube comment that Zen +  is equal to Ryzen 2 and that Zen 2 would be equivalent to maybe something we'd know as Ryzen 3. What should the proper way be?

You're right it is like this, plus Zen 3 architecture is planned on 2020. It should be based on 7 nm manufacturing process as well as Zen 2, but improved.

Ryzen 2 is the "7nm" chip, Ryzen + which is coming on april is on "12nm" which is just better 14nm

you are getting confuse between the architecture name and the cpu names.

zen and ryzen are not the same thing. zen is the architecture. Ryzen is the cpu.

I expect zen+ to be more around 4.3ghz or so to be the max be happy to be wrong

Think it was 10% or more performance on the node? so if 4ghz is about the top end, maybe 4.4ghz-4.5ghz is more manageable now.

Threadripper maybe gets the 4.6ghz boost chips?

Really no idea though, adored did a thing on it
