So currently im using 1 SSD for my OS and some programs and have a seperate HDD just for my Steamlibrary and some files. So i wanna try out Windows 10 now and see if it fits my needs so i have a question. I want to Install win 10 and use the steam library which is already on the HDD for some tests with win 10. Is it possible and if how hard is it to integrate the steam library to a new OS ? Sure i could just delete it download all games and again but win 10 is just a try for me in worst case i have to flush everything off then download 1 TB of games, decide i dont like win 10 erase it again and download 1 TB of games again so if there is a not so time consuming way to integrate the lib i would do that over downloading it.
Thanks for your help.

I upgraded my OS from 7 to Windows 10 and it didn't affect any of my games on my SSD or my HDD. I didn't have to do anything and I continued playing all my games like normal. Hope that helps!

What i will do is a bit different it would be a fresh install so no update from 7 to 10. Reason is atm i have a ssd with windows 7 on it that is at mid to end of lifespan, i have a new m2 ssd that i already installed to my System which will either get 7 or 10 soon so i thought it would be a nice chance to test win 10 for a month or so and then decide if i keep 10 on this drive or rollback to win 7 for some more time on the new drive.

After you install the new OS install Steam and when you go to install your game set the Install Directory to where the games are and Steam will

discover the existing content.

This works, but Steam is agonizingly slow at it. That't the only thing origin or uplay get right lol
