How about the 1050 4gb?

that would be the 1050ti yes, thats about 60% faster than a 960M for reference

the standard 1050 has 2gb of vram and is around 30% faster than a 960M for reference

So as all ltt fans, im tech-savy and stuff, but when it comes to laptops im a bit of a noob since noone in my family owned any.

Laptops needs:

-Light ( under 2.4-2.5 kg) since i will need it everyday at university.

-Powerful ( quadcore and graphics for rendering and doing work in architecture programs)

-Sleek because i carry a lot of books.

-Cheap ( budget is 1150 euro, but slash the price by a hundred because of the price in my country - Lithuania)

-Battery ( atleast 4 hours straight of medium load)

I've been looking at i7-8xxxu and mx150 laptops but still kinda tearing myself apart if that will get me arround daily. The other option is the bulky asus and dell gaming laptops, but again my brain is declining because i don't want a gaming themes laptop in university because of the social judgement. Most dell laptops are super overpriced in my country.

I hope somebody will take the time to help me and if you do, sincerely thank you in advance.

an 8th gen mobile cpu will be fine, most of them are quad cores that support hyperthreading, mx150 should be fine, it's the laptop version of the gt 1030 so take what you want from that

Im telling that to myself too, but like i cannot find good videos and examples on the ones available. Mostly reviews by 14 year old indian kids.

he's trying to find a laptop that matches those specs

i had an acer aspire 5 something with an i7 8550u, no dGPU, 250GB SSD

do not buy. terrible keyboard, the HDD bay had no sata/m.2 slot, so it really was just a place to store a hdd for fun, the anti reflective coating makes it look like 768p, and worst of all, i don't even hit 400cb in cinebench, limit of 1.9GHz and '90%' usage in task manager was '100%' usage (high performance mode too)

just a warning for that laptop

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

as far as hardware is concerned, if you can find a single video on performance of the cpu and mx150 together then the laptop you get will perform very close to that, then it comes down to if you like the look of the laptop.

i've looked at benchmarks, and an mx150 is about the same as a GTX950M from last gen...

She/Her

Phone: OnePlus Nord CE 5G | 128GB | 8GB Ram

Main Desktop: Ryzen 5 3600 | GTX 1060 6GB | 32GB Ram
Main Laptop: Acer Aspire V3-771G | Core i7 3612QM | 16GB

See, the benchmarks of games do not interest me since i have a badass gaming rig back home, but i need the laptop to render on big buildings and systems made in revit and other apps. I know that even the 7500u processor can handle revit but a bit slowly, the mx 150 tho is holding me back from the verdict since it will do the render not the proccesor.

I know that a 960m can handle my workload, since my friend tried it. It was an average performer. But in comparison wouldn't the 950m be on the line of not capable?

if thats the issue just look for a 1050ti laptop, the issue is, stepping up to a 1060 or above costs a LOT, the 1050ti isn't cheap, unless you desperately need the extra power, go for the cheaper mx150

the i7 8xxxu is going to be 4 core 8 thread with identical single thread performance but the i7 will have higher clock speed.

Yes but depends on the cooling system since ULV CPUs have TDP limitation and different laptop models have different results
