steamOS installation qwerty<->azerty

I'm following this guide to install a virtual instance of steamOS: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/steamuniverse/discussions/0/648814395797000712/

but I need to insert a backward slash "\" into the virtualbox virtual machine, by default steamOS chooses qwerty.

I looked up the qwerty layout but I can't find the "\" symbol: azerty-qwerty.jpg

also the ALT-92 code doesn't work either.

does anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: I'm running azerty(not my choice) and the input is in qwerty

taking you're referring to the qwerty and the azerty Z-key, it's still not working..
